You do not need to use all four lines – leave any you do not need blank. Each line is engraved separately, so you control where the breaks fall. Your personalisation will be engraved exactly as you type it, including capitalisation, so please double-check spelling and dates before ordering. As each money box is engraved to order, personalised items cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

• Do I have to use all four lines? No – use as many or as few as you need and leave the rest blank. Most people use a name, the occasion, the date and a short sign-off.
• What if a line is longer than 25 characters? Split it across two lines at a natural break. Spaces count towards the limit on each line.
• Will it appear exactly as I type it? Yes – the wording is engraved exactly as entered, including capital letters, so please check it carefully before ordering.
• Where is the engraving? On the flat roof of the ark, which lifts off to form the lid.
• How do I get the money out? The roof lifts away, so coins can be removed without damaging the box.
• How should I look after it? Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid silver polish and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the engraved lettering over time.
• Is it suitable as a christening gift? Yes – it is one of our most traditional christening pieces, and the four lines of engraving allow you to record the child's name and the date of the day itself.
